PROFILE
Marcia Hartsock is the founder and owner of The Medical Art Company, an illustration studio that provides accurate, concise and colorful images for medical education, publishing, advertising and courtroom presentation. She earned a BFA in Painting from the University of Cincinnati, and an MA in Illustration from Syracuse University. She is a former Governor and Past-President of the Association of Medical Illustrators, and was a founding Trustee of the The Vesalius Trust, a non-profit educational foundation. Her service to the profession of medical illustration earned her the rank of AMI Fellow in 1992. Marcia has earned national awards for her illustrations, including the AMI Best of Show Award in 1997. She regularly shares her knowledge with peers and students through classes, presentations and workshops in the Cincinnati region, and at National Conferences.
